About Me
A full-time mother and corporate professional, I'm an avid writer, reader, and doodler. I write during nap time and after my children's baths and bedtimes (when I'm not reading something). My hope is to encourage you in the Gospel and encourage you to read with your children.
While my husband and I were trying to have a child of our own, I found many wonderful children’s books. But I wanted to write a Good News story that reflected the Gospel I came to know in our time of loss and waiting. I wanted to write a story about how God always does what He says He will do. So my first book, The Bright Promise, was born. And there's more in the works!
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing from New York University.
My career spans from the United States Senate to New York Fashion Week to one of the largest construction companies in the South. Throughout each of these experiences, I diligently build meaningful relationships with those around me.
My village includes but is not limited to my husband, Keith, our two children, Barnes and Marilyn, and our beloved cat, Davy Crockett. We live in Birmingham, Alabama. I am an active member of the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators in the Southern Breeze Region. We attend Covenant Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama.
